WELCOME TO THE BEST HALL IN LOUGHBOROUGH
We are a hall in Loughborough University named after the scientist, Michael Faraday. Being one of the biggest halls in the University, we do our best to make sure we cater to all of your needs with an array of events, a strong committee and an inclusive environment. Once you pick Faraday, you will be a part of Faraday forever.
If you love winning, socialising, and having fun then Faraday is the hall for you.
Faraday is the best hall in Loughborough, situated in the heart of the student village surrounded by everything you could possibly need. It’s conveniently close to the library, both gyms, and is only a 2-minute walk from the Co-op (student shop) and 10 minutes from the Student Union. It is an unbelievably convenient hall… everyone who lives here loves it and everyone who doesn’t wish they did!
Faraday is a catered hall that allows everyone to be able to socialise, which creates an inclusive atmosphere and a close-knit community amongst hall members. It is also perfect for independence and being away from home for potentially the first time, as you are catered for 5 days a week (3 meals a day) with the freedom to cook for yourselves at weekends. Kitchens are provided in each block to cook. All kitchens include microwaves, induction hobs, kettles and a toaster.

FARAPRÉS SKI
After winning ‘Best Freshers Experience’ last year we can promise action-packed funfilled week inspired by the infamous Aprés Ski parties! Time-table to be released soon...
Our move in day is the 25th of September 2024.

Faraday Ski Trip 2025
Since our theme is Aprés Ski, it only feels right to host a faraday ski trip.
Next year we plan to head out to Andorra in Easter- you don’t want to miss out!

Meet Our Committee
We have a 21 member strong committee that aims to make your experience incredible. They work extremely hard throughout the year organising lots of events for everyone to get involved in. There is a committee member representing each section, including Rag (charity fundraising) and action (community volunteering), and they work hard to arrange legendary common room socials, charity events, sporting events, and more…
In the run-up to welcome week you’ll be hearing from the committee quite a lot. On behalf of Faraday, we would like to wish you a warm welcome to Faraday Hall!!

Alexia holds the position of Hall Chair, responsible for overseeing all areas of the committee and ensuring its smooth operation. Working closely with the warden, Dr. Ash Casey, and his team of Sub Wardens, Alexia ensures that every student at Faraday enjoys the best possible experience. Faraday's renowned student experience is no coincidence. Alexia also serves as the primary representative of Faraday when interacting with the University and the Loughborough Student's Union. Assisting Alexia in her multitude of tasks is the Vice Chair, Toby, whose role is to aid in managing the hall and providing support to Alexia whenever needed.

We excel in sports, so in IMS we completely and utterly dominate. We have won IMS for 11 years and always have an amazing time participating. Last year we came 2nd overall which we are proud of but, this year we’re going for GOLD. GET INVOVLED!
